American Way's Medium-Dark Roast Coffees
As we progress along the roast spectrum, we encounter Medium-Dark roast coffees. These boast a bolder, richer, and darker profile compared to our light & medium roasts.
Roasted to internal temperatures ranging from 420-432 degrees, typically nearing the second crack, these coffees exhibit decreased acidity, heightened body, and visible oils on the bean surface.
French press brewing is particularly suited to medium-dark roasts, accentuating their robust body and rich flavors. Opt for a coarse grind to prevent sediment due to the metal filter's finer grind sizes.
